Saw-whet Owl Banding

Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park, Wyoming

This fall community naturalist Zach Hutchinson will continue banding Northern Saw-whet Owls for Project Owlnet! Owls are safely captured, measured, and banded in order to provide important data for conserving this beautiful species. It's also a fantastic opportunity to see these adorable and elusive birds!

Banding will take place at Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park in Central Wyoming from 6 p.m. - midnight three days a week (Thursday - Sunday), subject to weather. Space is limited and filling fast; contact Zach at zhutchinson@audubon.org to ask about availability. Dress warmly!
