Learn more about Gillmor Sanctuary and the birds who depend on it during our new Discover Gillmor Sanctuary event series! Join Audubon staff on April 8 for Discover Gillmor Sanctuary During Spring Migration, a tour of Gillmor Sanctuary highlighting shorebirds and their habitat, as well as other spring migratory species! Learn why Gillmor Sanctuary is an important resource for birds during a time of severe drought and become acquainted with the landscape and the key resources shorebirds seek in the spring. We will caravan to the sanctuary and stop to view birds through binoculars and telescopes. Some of the viewing locations require walking through uneven grasslands, but many birds can be observed right from your vehicle! Beginner to advanced birders are welcome, and extra binoculars are available.
