How do you plan to protect and connect with nature this year? The fourth event of our Connect With Nature Habitat Hero webinar series teaches us that no matter what your conservation goals are, empathy is a powerful tool for helping you reach them.

On February 28, join us for a webinar, "Empathy in the Garden," to explore research-based strategies for building empathy for the natural world and, in turn, for each other. Ashley Krueger, interim director of The Gardens on Spring Creek, will explain how empathy is developed and describe tools for increasing empathy within ourselves and others for animals, plants, and ecosystems.

Ashley has more than ten years of experience creating and leading environmental education experiences for students of all ages in aquariums, botanic gardens, nature centers, and zoos. Her passion lies in connecting people to their local environments, building a connection, and inspiring action. She also published Empathy for Animals: A Review of the Existing Literature in 2018 and has presented at national conferences on developing empathy for wildlife and developing empathy through interpretation.
