Interested in making a difference for the Snowy Plovers at Great Salt Lake? Join us for a general information session about our 2025 Snowy Plover Monitoring Program! This virtual session is designed for new, prospective, and returning volunteers who want to learn more about how they can contribute to the conservation of these vulnerable birds at the Great Salt Lake.

During the session, we’ll cover the Snowy Plover Monitoring Program and the the various volunteer opportunities available, such as:

  • Weekly nest surveys
  • Nest camera installation and maintenance assistance
  • New in 2025: Participation in the Recreational Impact Survey

As Snowy Plovers faces increasing threats at Great Salt Lake and beyond, your participation is essential in gathering the data needed to protect and preserve these birds for future generations. Whether you're interested in volunteering or simply want to learn more about the program, this session is the perfect place to get started.

We look forward to having you join us in making a positive impact!
