Nature Connects Us

Wyoming Naturalist and Audubon Rockies member Casey Black shares how nature connected her to wildlife, people, and her home.

When we ask our members what they find most rewarding about birds and conservation, many of their responses can be summarized in one word: connection. Could you use some connection today?

In June, Wyoming Naturalist and Audubon Rockies member Casey Black attended the 2023 Wyoming Naturalist retreat in Sinks Canyon State Park, Wyoming. There, she and fellow naturalists spent the weekend learning from expert biologists about local flora and fauna.

Watch our interview with Casey below for an example of how nature connected her to wildlife, people, and her home.

The Wyoming Naturalist program is coordinated by a committee of state agencies and non-profits including  Audubon Rockies, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Wyoming State Parks, the University of Wyoming Biodiversity Institute, and University of Wyoming Extension. The application period for the 2024 Wyoming Naturalist cohort will open in September 2023. Learn more and sign up to be notified when the application period opens here.
