Louisa Kimmell is a range ecologist bringing a passion for soil health and ecological restoration to Audubon Conservation Ranching. After receiving a B.S. in environmental and earth sciences from Tufts University, Louisa went on to get her master’s degree in rangeland ecosystem science from Colorado State University, where she conducted research on restoring dryland soils and native rangeland plants. Throughout her career Louisa has worked as naturalist, coordinated local government water conservation and climate action programs, and consulted on ecological restoration projects in Colorado and Wyoming. Outside of work, you can find Louisa mountain biking, identifying plants, gardening, and making desserts.
