Amanda Martinez

Habitat Hero Senior Coordinator

Amanda brings a longtime love for birds and native plants to Audubon. Amanda is passionate about helping people understand the importance of ecological connections and working to build positive human-environment relationships. Additionally, she is fiercely dedicated to incorporating environmental justice in her work and considering equity and inclusion when developing and presenting environmental programs. 

Before joining Audubon Rockies, she completed a masters of science in sustainability studies from Texas State University. For her degree, she consulted the City of San Marcos in their goal to achieve Bird City Texas designation and was a project manager for a native wildlife garden at Roughhouse Brewing in San Marcos. She also earned her certification as an interpretive guide through the National Association for Interpretation. Additionally, she earned her bachelor of arts degree from Trinity University in sociology and international environmental studies. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys hiking, volleyball, partner dancing, baking, crafting, and trying to take pictures of birds in her yard.
