Jason has a long history as a non-profit communications professional, with stints at Lambda Legal, the ACLU and Equality California. His work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, La Opinión, the Dallas Morning News, the Sacramento Bee and other outlets. Previously, he spent 20 years in television news, including as a reporter covering environmental issues in Vermont and Northern California. He holds a BA in Spanish and linguistics from UCLA and a MA in Spanish from California State University Northridge (expected June 2020).
