Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with Audubon! October 8 has been designated fall World Migratory Bird Day and this year's theme is "Dim the Lights for Birds at Night." In celebration, we're hosting The Sounds of Nocturnal Migration to discuss why birds migrate at night, how light pollution threatens nocturnal migratory birds, and how you can help minimize those threats! We'll focus on some of our favorite nighttime migrants, including warblers, thrushes, shorebirds, sparrows, and orioles. You'll also learn about the rising technology being used to monitor nocturnal migrations and get the resources you need to set up your own migration monitoring program! Come learn about our conservation efforts, the newest conservation technology, and how you can play a part in all of it.
