Despite chilly weather and a rising river, Wyoming BioBlitz 2019 was a success! Thanks to the help of dozens of volunteers and scientists, we’ve so far documented 103 species of plants and animals! Here's the breakdown:
- 56 plant species
- 44 bird species
- 1 reptile species
- 2 amphibian species
- 5 mammal species
- 8 aquatic macroinvertebrate families
On top of that, we explored sagebrush, stream, and riparian habitats and learned from experts about mammology, nature journaling, fish ecology, and the impacts of roads on wildlife. All in one weekend. Phew. Great work, everyone!!
