Nancy Peterson is a former registered veterinary technician. She worked for The Humane Society of the United States, the nation’s largest animal protection organization, for almost 18 years. Nancy relocated from metro Washington, DC, to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2016. She met Dee Malone and Mary Harris in December 2018 when she participated in her first Christmas Bird Count. Nancy was smitten with them and birds.
